主讲人介绍:
Dr. Hong Luo is a Faculty Fellow, Clemson Spiro Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership, and the recipient of the 2013 Clemson University Godley-Snell Agricultural Award for Excellence in Agricultural Research. He is the member of American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB) and the Society for In Vitro Biology (SIVB). He is the elected member-at-large on the SIVB Board of Directors and served as SIVB Plant Biotechnology Section Program Committee Co-Chair and Chair and as the SIVB 2023 Program Chair.  His work leads to the development of the first genetically engineered, environmentally safe, male-sterile and herbicide-resistant turfgrass, and the development of a new method for hybrid crop production using site-specific DNA recombination systems.
    Hong Luo教授就职于美国克莱姆森大学,为Clemson Spiro创业领导力教授,曾获得2013Clemson University Godley-Snell农业研究卓越奖,是美国科学促进会(AAAS)、美国植物生物学家学会(ASPB)和体外生物学学会(SIVB)的成员,担任SIVB植物生物技术部门计划委员会联合主席和主席以及SIVB 2023计划主席。他的研究工作成果包括创制第一个对对环境安全、雄性不育和抗除草剂基因工程草坪草,开发了特定位点DNA重组系统获得杂交作物生产新方法等。
